Physical and Chemical Properties
Lactic acid pure product is a colorless liquid, while industrial product is a colorless to light yellow liquid, odorless, hygroscopic, and miscible with water, ethanol, and glycerol. The aqueous solution is acidic and insoluble in chloroform, carbon disulfide, and petroleum ether.

Application

  1. Acidity regulator, natural acidifier, antibacterial and preservative.
  2. L-lactic acid is the only monomer raw material for producing PLA polylactic acid; PLA is widely used in disposable meal boxes, biodegradable packaging, and agricultural films.
  3. Lactic acid vapor disinfection can effectively kill bacteria in the air in wards, operating rooms, laboratories, and other places.
  4. Widely used in medicine as preservatives, carriers, solubilizers, pharmaceutical preparations, pH regulators, etc.
  5. Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) core raw materials: keratin metabolism, moisturizing, pH regulation; For essence, face cream, lotion, facial mask.
  6. Green industrial cleaning agent: replacing inorganic strong acids (hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid), biodegradable, used for boiler descaling, metal surface cleaning, and electroplating industries.
