PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Ethers have boiling points similar to those of the analogous alkanes. Simple ethers are generally colorless.
APPLICATION
Ether is mainly used as an excellent solvent for oils, dyes, alkaloids, fats, natural resins, synthetic resins, nitrocellulose, hydrocarbons, linseed oil, petroleum resins, rosin resins, spices, non vulcanized rubber, etc. Wool and cotton industries are used as oil stain cleaning agents. The gunpowder industry is used to manufacture smokeless gunpowder. Medicine is used as an anesthetic.
STORAGE
Generally, the commodity is added with stabilizer. Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat source. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 26 ℃. The package shall be sealed and shall not contact with air. It shall be stored separately from oxidants and shall not be mixed. It should not be stored in large quantities or for a long time. Explosion proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to generate sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate materials.
