Physical and Chemical Properties

Dimethyl carbonate, chemical C3H6O3, molecular weight 90.08, transparent liquid at room temperature, slightly fragrant. Difficult to dissolve in water, but can be miscible in any ratio with alcohols, ketones, esters, etc.

Application

1. Lithium battery electrolyte.
2. Synthesis of polycarbonate PC.New energy casing, optical panels, automotive components.
3. Replace highly toxic solvents such as toluene, xylene, and CAC for industrial coatings, wood coatings, PCB inks, and cleaning diluents.
4. Production of antibiotics, lipid-lowering drugs, insecticides, herbicides.
5. Synthesis of gasoline additives, cleaning agents, developer solutions, and fragrances.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated non combustible warehouse. Stay away from sources of fire and heat. The storage temperature should not exceed 37 ℃. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, reducing agents, acids, etc., and avoid mixing storage.
